Stampin Up Bliss Card Ideas

I used the stamp set Botanical Bliss and the beautiful Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper to create two cards to share with you today. The base of my first card is a new color in the Annual Catalog called Soft Sea Foam and it pairs very nicely with Night of Navy.

I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy onto Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with the Layering Ovals Framelits. The Night of Navy and Soft Sea Foam scalloped ovals are also from this same set of Framelits. I finished the card by adding three pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls. I love these pearls!

Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper is one of the papers included in the Buy 3 Get 1 Free Sale! This sale will continue all month long but I’d recommend picking up your favorites early in the month, just in case they go on backorder.

Here’s another version of the card using the same Designer Series Paper and stamp set. I used Night of Navy cardstock again but added So Saffron for the base and instead of using DSP for all of the squares, I replaced two with So Saffron that were embossed with the Climbing Vine embossing folder.

We’ve been waiting for this day to show you new stamp sets to help you make curvy cards.

What are Curvy Cards?

Well, they’re cards with curvy lines on them. And we’ve got TWO to share with you that are just being released today!

One is a Christmas stamp set and one is an All Occasion stamp set. And both coordinate with a set of curvy dies.

Here’s the card that we started a while ago. Ann just finished it last night.

We like it so much better now that we’ve added a little pine treat from the Pine Woods Dies.

We thought about making the circle yellow for the sun, but Ann prefers blue and green together. Do you like how we crumpled up the hillside and rubbed a White Craft Ink Pad over it to look like melting snow?

It’s been sitting here at the house with everything but the tree, full circle and bling – just waiting for finishing touches.

The Curvy Card We Started Yesterday

The plan was to do a monochromatic card yesterday on our live online card making class, but instead, Ann showed them some watercolor tricks with the Stampin’ Blends.

You can watch it here on YouTube or watch it below. We have it cued up to about where she starts. But if you want to see some of the new logo gear that Ann got, watch it from the beginning.

I’ll warn you now that the area where she used our Cut & Emboss machine is pretty dark. I’m just barking.

It was amazing how fast she colored those leaves! The Blends made it really fast.

Kay suggested that we put a little Pumpkin Pie on it, so we did. A little Wink of Stella might have been a good idea to make the leaves sparkle. Perhaps we’ll do that next time.

Here’s what we used to color the leaves:
